Synopsis
Bettina and Marcus are a passionate couple who live in a cafeteria in the middle of a vast plain dotted with endless rows of high-voltage power poles. Marcus is trying to start his own business maintaining high-voltage power lines. Bettina, who dreams of a better life, runs the cafeteria for the workers. Their nine-year-old daughter, Tessa, who tries to stay away from school as much as possible, roams the plain in search of objects and trinkets to keep herself occupied. When Marcus hires the Hungarian engineer Szabolcs as a partner for his company, their unconventional life takes a new turn. However, a tragic accident throws their search for happiness into disarray.
Synopsis
